Arija McQuillan of Ari Agency has been named as a finalist for the 2021 AusMumpreneur Awards in the Emerging Entrepreneur and Service Business Category as well as the People’s Choice, Making a Difference (Local Community) where you can VOTE online via this link https://bit.ly/ArijaMcQuillan.
The AusMumpreneur Awards presented by The Women’s Business School celebrate and recognize Australian Mums in business achieving outstanding success in areas such as business excellence, product development, customer service and digital innovation. The awards are designed to recognize the growing number of women who successfully balance motherhood and business in a way that suits their life and family.
Passionate about real estate with 20 years industry experience, Arija decided to launch her own buyers agency during Covid 2020 as she thought there was no better time to back herself than in an uncertain market. With 8 years buying experience on her side, Arija’s business has gone from strength to strength over the last 12 months which has seen her already begin to expand her team. Arija specialises in partnering people with property, working exclusively in Sydney’s North Shore and Northern Beaches helping property buyers secure their primary residence or investment, servicing first home buyers, new and seasoned investors, families looking to upsize or empty nesters downsizing. Arija is highly client focused, tailoring her boutique service offering to each client individually and is proud to know that her clients back her experience and service with only 5-star reviews.
Arija is delighted to be named as a finalist and is proud of her achievements, particularly twelve months of successful business in a Covid world and beginning to expand her team.
There are many benefits to balancing business and motherhood as Arija explains, “I love having the opportunity to inspire young women in business as I believe this is incredibly important, especially in such a highly male dominated industry. Although it’s also a challenge, I really enjoy the flexibility as a mum (which really helps with kids!) and being able to show my child that you can achieve whatever you put your mind to, and that hard work really does pay off – don’t be afraid to chase your dreams, be fearless, believe and you will achieve!”.
It can be challenging to be a successful business woman whilst raising a family and Arija gives this advice for others thinking about starting their own enterprise. ”Don’t underestimate your own ability. One of my favourite quotes by Walt Disney is “If you can dream it, you can do it” and I wholeheartedly believe in this. Nothing should stand in the way of something you want and if you believe in yourself and your own ability to succeed then you will be unstoppable!!”.
